Client intake and proposal automation for a Manchester law firm
The twelve-lawyer firm handled client intake, proposal preparation and hearing reminders entirely by hand. A lawyer spent 23% of the working week on administration — billable hours lost, and a constant undercurrent of stress.
A new client enquiry triggers an n8n flow: an intake form goes out automatically, the completed answers land in Clio CRM, and a summary brief is prepared for the lawyer. The hearing calendar syncs with Outlook, and reminders reach both client and lawyer 48 hours in advance.
Each lawyer got eight hours a week back. Across twelve lawyers that is 96 hours of additional capacity every week. Billable hours went up and the firm created £2,900 a month in extra capacity.
Client files arrive prepared, so the first meeting starts somewhere useful. Instead of spending that time briefing myself, I spend it on legal advice.
